Red Wing Postman Oxfords

Last week I was in Portland and went into the Dunderdon Workshop and fell in love with the Postman Oxford. The Postman Oxford is part of the Red Wing Heritage line. Although I'm not huge on worker wear, I feel these would make a pretty nice staple in my assortment of shoes. Unfortunately, Dunderdon only had a size 10 and all the Redwing stores I hit on the way home didn't even know what the 'Postman Oxford' was. The hunt continues.

Redwing describes the Postman Oxford as, 'The 101 was known as the postman’s shoe. Designed to meet Postal Service requirements, they were a simple, but sturdy, polished, black dress oxford. It was their sturdiness and underfoot comfort that would serve America’s mailmen well. As evidence, millions were sold. The Black Chaparral leather and the black cushion crepe, wedge sole combine to yield a classic look.'
