Following the successful Fantastic Man, the Amsterdam based bi-annual fashion magazine catering to men, the Dutch duo masterminds, Jop van Bennekom and Gert Jonkers decided to expand their wings to please women readers as well by creating The Gentlewoman.
I have read the Fantastic Man and was totally impressed by their unique editorial voice (sometimes sarcastic). And now with The Gentlewoman as its sister publication, I believe those of you who are tired of all the pretty editorials and Vogue style write-ups will find what you've been yearning for in this edgy magazine. I mean look at the cover of The Gentlewoman 2nd edition Autumn/Winter 2010. Where else you can find a woman (or is it a man? or Jesus fashionista? I'm not sure) with a beard on a fashion magazine's cover.
P.S.: the woman on the cover is actually Ms. Inez Van Lamsweerde, one of the coolest fashion photographers. Wow.
More previews of The Gentlewoman after the jump.
