So it's Monday again, and Monday means school for me (yes, still). Here's my take on a somewhat androgynous schoolgirl look. Ok, androgynous maybe for Europeans in the '30s-40s, but still. In fact, I kinda feel that this outfit was sort of inspired by Farrell's halloween costume--a Von Trapp family member.
I thought I was going to showcase one piece-cashmere leggings, because the other night when it was pouring rain, crazy windy and ridiculously cold, I still wanted to wear a dress out. So my legs and probably health were saved from the unforgiving weather by my wonderful cashmere leggings, an item that I believe every girl (or even boy, I know lots of boys who wear long johns under their jeans in the winter... ok maybe only two) should own. I also love the colour of these Marni ones, and the slouch is similar to how my cashmere leggings slouch. Anyway, the showcasing of the cashmere leggings became a showcasing of all items because I absolutely love all the pieces here, especially that hat because, to me, it is the perfect hat. Since the look is a little androgynous (yes, we've agreed it is androgynous), I chose the CDG Play unisex perfume and it really does smell amazing, for girls and boys! I also chose a brown belt because even though it's a little cliche and boring, I love it when a belt is somewhat colour-coordinated with shoes. I mean, I know mixing and matching and throwing things on haphazardly is 'the look' right now, but a little bit of order never hurt anyone.
