Here's the first installment of Weekend Wardrobe! Basically, if money wasn't an issue and I had access to all the stores in the world, this is what I'd be wearing. I realize it's not the most practical of wardrobes, but I'm going more for the overall look rather than the actual pieces themselves. I hope to be able to share my wardrobe finds on a regular basis. So this is what I want to be wearing this weekend. I hope it inspires some to give their own take on it in a budget-friendly way, because I know I will.
I'm trying to go for a tough-girl chic look. The combat boots aren't as chunky as Doc's, so they keep the look a little bit more streamlined. I've been really into green and purple lately - mostly purple in lipsticks, and green in jewelry, but with the upcoming release of Chanel's 'Jade' nailpolish, there was no way I couldn't feature it. And since I don't own many full-coloured pieces in green or purple, I have to find a way to incorporate them into my outfits. I know the ring and clutch have got gold in them, while the watches and vest have silver, but that adds to the unkempt, rolled out of bed look. I also don't have enough jewelry and accessories to maintain gold/silver unity, nor do I really care much about fashion rules. I'd probably add more jewelry, but this is a good base to jump off of.
How would I wear it? White t-shirt tucked in, leave the denim shirt unbuttoned but tuck it in a bit and unzip the Alexander Wang motorcycle vest. Tuck the pants into the Ann D boots & socks and slouch down the grey socks. The Burberry studded watch is the perfect fashion and function piece, and I'd still wear another watch on the other wrist. Aaand, I'm dressed.
