It's been more than a week since our 1st editorial, and now we are in the process of creating our 2nd one. Thanksgiving is coming up, but doing a Thanksgiving related theme for the shoot is quite typical and boring - we don't like that. So... we are doing exactly the opposite.
No turkey, no cranberry sauce, 'Anti-Thanksgiving' is our theme for the editorial. We complain, rather than saying grace. And for this, we have Meredith Hama-Brown as our model. Dressed up in all fur and glamour, yet trapped and broken inside. She represents a woman/wife/mother who lives by society's expectation, but is mentally abused by it; a victim of her own self-image.
This is our first time doing an indoor shoot, meaning we didn't have any professional lighting equipment, and our make up artist didn't show. So yes, it was pretty tiring but we managed to not let our mood get in the way. We did a pretty good job I think, but that was just day one, we still have day 2 for our outdoor shots. (To be continued...)
Pictures after the jump.
