If you don't know about J. Barbour & Sons, here's a quick info session: circa 1894, family owned, known for their iconic waxed jackets. But it seems as though Barbour has really made an attempt to revamp their image. I remember visiting their website about a year and a bit ago and it was pretty plain jane. On recent visit, it's now all shiny & new with rollovers and photos of young-ish guys & gals in their apparel. Last year I visited a local store that's geared towards men ages 50+ to check out some Barbour wear and got a lot of confused looks thrown my way. So, I don't blame Barbour for wanting to stay on top of their game, while at the same time maintaining their reputation. And that's exactly what this collaboration with To Ki To (by Japanese designer Tokihito Yoshida) seems to be doing for them.
This collection contains a wax Trench coat, Bicycle, Horse Riding (above), Motor Riding, and Driving jackets! My personal favourite is the horse riding jacket in sage. Ultimate decadence. I've been wanting one for a while now, and even though it's mens, I might have to make a small fit me.
