How does he do it? How does Alexander Wang manage to create collections that pushes my tastes even further each and every time? This time around he definitely pushed the envelope, but to the perfect point. Although at first look I wasn't exactly feeling each and every piece as I found myself feeling in the past, it definitely made me look at pieces individually rather than being hypnotized by the styling. I feel this line was definitely a little less wearable everyday as his past collections were, but I'll make an occasion to wear that mesh paneled body suit and the fuzzy strong shouldered sweater.
This show was also the debut of his sunglasses! They definitely have that Linda Farrow vibe to them. I am a sucker for any cat eye shapes (I once wrote a speech about Cat Eyes in grade 4, thanks Mom for convincing me it was a good idea. It wasn't. Turns out no 8 year old is into that kinda stuff...). Anyways, I love the modern take on the cat eye and I may have to keep my eyes peeled for them come Spring.
Highlights: mesh-paneled pieces, shades of beige, cut-out dresses, quilted shorts, tight leg warmers
